Ankit Kumar Singh is a passionate and dedicated percussionist, specializing in the art of Tabla. With a deep-rooted connection to Indian classical music, he has devoted his journey to both performance and teaching, striving to preserve and promote the rich tradition of rhythm. His musical journey is shaped by years of rigorous riyaaz and a constant pursuit of excellence in rhythm and expression.
Trained with discipline and guided by the values of Indian classical music, Ankit has developed a strong command over Tabla, seamlessly blending traditional techniques with a modern approach. His performances reflect clarity, creativity, and a profound understanding of taal and layakari, allowing him to connect with audiences across diverse platforms.
Alongside performing, Ankit is deeply committed to music education. Through structured, practical, and interactive teaching methods, he aims to make Tabla learning accessible to students of all age groups and skill levels.
His teaching goes beyond technical training, focusing on developing a strong sense of rhythm, dedication, confidence, and true musical expression in every learner. Through his platform, he offers both online and offline classes, personalized mentorship, and structured learning programs for students across the globe.
Ankit is also the Founder Director of the “Anunaaad India Foundation” and is actively associated with initiatives like Sangeet Diksha Abhiyan, working towards spreading music education in basic education schools and communities. His vision is to make Indian classical music more accessible and meaningful for the younger generation, while preserving its authenticity. With a mission to spread the knowledge of Tabla and Indian classical rhythm to every learner, he continues to inspire a growing community of music enthusiasts who appreciate, practice, and carry forward this timeless art form.
Ankit Kumar Singh holds B.P.A. and M.P.A. degrees in Instrumental Music (Tabla) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He is a Grade “B” Artist of All India Radio and a Junior Fellowship Awardee from CCRT, Ministry of Culture. Through his continuous dedication, performances, and teaching, he has established himself as a respected name in the field of Tabla and Indian classical music.
